Melting Away. Literally…

It’s cold and snowy out. Or maybe it’s cold and rainy out where you live. Or maybe it’s just cold. Or maybe you’re just in a blah mood and need a pick-me-up. You don’t really feel like tea, but you don’t really want coffee. The next best option for a happy medium to enjoy would be hot cocoa.

Without the obvious risk of myself repeating myself, but in a different way…

How are you going to enjoy National Cocoa Day, which happens to be TODAY? I’ll tell you how: Butlers Chocolates Hot Chocolate Drink.

I have to admit. I was skeptical. What was this going to taste like? Does this really work? Does it really taste good? It seems a little too good to be true. Yes, I am that crazy lady who stashes the Butlers Chocolates in her cupboard and hides the stuff from the children, and well… now I have something else to hide! Yes! These little pucks of chocolate joy are AH. MAZE. ZZZZING! A cup of smooth, hot, chocolate silky delight is only a matter of minutes away on your stove top. Simply heat some milk or cream on the stove top and add one (or two) of these chocolate discs? Pucks? Awesomeness? Let it melt thoroughly, pour into a mug and ENJOY! Sit back and just MELT AWAY with this hot cocoa! I truly do not use words such as “divine” – very often. Today I shall. This hot chocolate beverage is DIVINE! After you prepare yourself a cup of this divine mixture, you will then realize why this might be hidden away from the children… would they appreciate this deliciousness? Is that even a word? I guess it is, because by the time you read this – I’ve spell checked myself! 😉

If you have just come in from the cold – maybe you were sledding, skiing, snowmobiling, building a snowman, shoveling your driveway… and you’re freezing cold… time to make up some of this hot chocolate drink. You’ll melt away as you sip this and defrost yourself inside!

Enjoy National Chocolates Day!

Happy Wednesday! According to Foodimentary.com, today is National Chocolates Day! What chocolate are you nibbling on today? I am going to share my chocolate(s) that I am celebrating today, and that would be Butlers Chocolates. They are a favorite of mine! I even want to say this blog has some early roots in sharing the love of Butlers Chocolates in one of the first posts made here!

It’s true! I have bars hidden in my cupboards and I always forget that I stash them from the children. When I find a bar hidden amongst the items in my cupboards it’s like I have hit jackpot! And then… I hope… that a child is not near by when I make my discovery… because yes… I really don’t want to share! I’m so bad!

And do we all know that Butlers Chocolates originates from Ireland? So, really, I suppose I am celebrating “International” Chocolates Day!  Butlers Chocolates isn’t all chocolates, they make a variety of products:

In addition to luxurious milk, dark and white speciality chocolate assortments, Butlers Chocolates produce creamy toffee, soft fudge, deliciously moreish chocolate filled and solid chocolate bars, enticing milk chocolate truffles delicately flavoured with famous liquors, hot chocolate and enchanting seasonal collections at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter!

Speaking of CHRISTMAS, these chocolates make awesome stocking stuffers, host and/or hostess gifts, or a perfect gift to pass around the office during the holiday season.

Have you tried Bulters Chocolates before? If so, tell me what your favorite! My inquiring mind wants to know!

For the Love of Milk Chocolate.

When I’m stressed out or something is bugging me, I open up my cupboard doors and scrounge around for something… tasty. Something… chocolatey. And it better be good! Because there are days when I just need something to take my mind away and nothing is worse than old, horrible tasting chocolate. Was it stale? Did someone not cover it up all the way and it’s gotten yucky?

I. Need. Chocolate. NOW!

So… the search is on for another piece of chocolate or candy or something – but what are my odds it’s going to taste any better than what I just had? I keep looking in the cupboard… searching for a small miracle.

Hoping.

Praying.

Wishing… that there’s another bar of chocolate or something, lurking for me behind a box of cereal or behind the kid’s school lunch stuff. Where is it? I *know* I have to have one more bar of tasty goodness somewhere in this mess!

And why yes… what have we found here?? I have found myself some delicious milk chocolate! SCORE for me! And lo’ and behold, it’s Butlers Chocolate! And today I am in luck… it’s even more special than just a milk chocolate bar… it’s a Butlers Milk Chocolate Truffle Bar! Oooooh delicious! Loving this chocolate that comes all the way from Ireland! And check out that creamy chocolate truffle center! Time to nibble!

So, as I sit here and sip my morning coffee, send my oldest off to school on his bicycle (hoping he makes it safely), yell at the cats who are fighting with each other, and wish my youngest a Happy 4th Birthday (and share with him a bit of my milk chocolate truffle bar), I enjoy this little moment of victory – BLISS – and enjoy a quick quiet moment before it all goes out the door. Thank you milk chocolate truffle bar… at least I had that quick, quiet moment. And to think, today I was going to write about National Milk Chocolate Day, but as I soon discovered, I was reading my information incorrectly. That’s actually in July. Today is actually National Chocolate Milk Day. Meh. Give me National “Whatever Type” of Chocolate Day – everyday! Who would argue with me on that? NO ONE!

Is anyoe else sad that we do not have a Butlers Chocolate CafĂ© close to us? Chocolate and coffee all in one spot? YES, PLEASE! I think it’s time we pack up, travel and visit one! Oh yeah, here I am again. Hoping. Praying. Wishing… Maybe. Someday!

And speaking of coffee, that topic will be addressed in the next few days! Stay tuned! For now… Nibble, nibble!
