Gourmet International began its journey more than 45 years ago when Horst and Erika immigrated to Michigan from Germany. Shortly thereafter, they decided to open a retail store, Erika’s Delicatessen and Import Haus, to offer their local community an authentic taste of their homeland.
The demand for specialty food items grew beyond West Michigan and a new company was born. Gourmet International was incorporated in 1989 and now the second generation owners, Mike and Monica, share their passion in offering an expanded variety of specialty foods to all market segments across the United States.
